Monarch Automotive Paints

We are located right at Kirwa Chowk on the By Pass Road. It’s near the HK Petrol Pump, which is where most people tell us to look for when they are lost. Monarch Automotive Paints is the name on the board outside, though the sun has faded it quite a bit over the years. Kanker Khera is a dusty area because of all the trucks on the bypass. We spend a lot of time wiping down the cans so people can actually see the labels. It is a loud spot to work because of the traffic, but you get used to it after a week or two. We carry a lot of different brands and types of paint for cars and tractors. The bypass road means we get a lot of people just passing through who need something quickly. We aren't a big corporation. It's just a local shop where we know most of the mechanics by their first names. We have a small bench outside where we sit when things are slow. I don't believe in having a fancy office, so I just do the books on the main counter between customers. It’s honest work. We show up, we sell some paint, we talk to the neighbors, and then we lock up. That’s about it for us. It keeps us busy and the bills paid. Some days are long, but that is part of having a shop.
