About Garden Stuff – Agriculture & Farming in Saharanpur
If you look for 65/a in the Mission Compound, you'll find us tucked away near Prem Vatika. It's a bit of a quiet area compared to the main roads. Garden Stuff isn't a huge place, but it's where we spend most of our daylight hours. The morning sun hits the front of the shop quite early, so we usually keep the shutters halfway down until it cools off a bit. There’s a lot of inventory to move around most days, and the shelves are always getting rearranged because we can never decide on the best layout. We have a small desk near the entrance where we keep the ledger and the old stapler that only works half the time. Sometimes the monkeys from the trees nearby come onto the roof and make a lot of noise, which can be a bit distracting. We’ve got a small kettle in the back for making tea, and that’s probably the most used piece of equipment we own. People from the compound walk by and wave, and we know most of the delivery drivers by their first names now. There’s a small radio on the shelf that usually plays some local music, though the reception is pretty patchy. It's just a simple setup where we handle our daily business. We don't have fancy decorations or anything like that. Just some sturdy tables, a few chairs that have seen better days, and a lot of work to get through.
