About Ganga Wood Company – Architect, Interior & Structural Design in Saharanpur
We spend most of our days here on Mehandi Sarai Lane No. 2 surrounded by piles of timber and the smell of fresh sawdust. It gets pretty loud sometimes with the saws running, but that is just how it is. My father started this and now we just keep it going, moving logs and cutting planks for whoever walks in. The lane is narrow so getting trucks in and out is always a bit of a headache. We don't have a fancy office or anything like that. There is just a small desk in the corner covered in wood shavings where we keep the ledger. Most of the time we are just out on the floor making sure the wood is stacked right so it doesn't warp in the humidity. People from around the neighborhood know where to find us if they need a piece for a door frame or a simple bench. Sometimes we run out of specific types of wood and have to wait for the next delivery to arrive from the depot. It is honest work and it keeps our hands busy from morning until the sun goes down. We have been in this spot for a long time now and the neighbors are all used to the noise. If you walk down Lane 2 you can usually hear us before you see the sign. It isn't a complicated business, just wood and sweat.
