K.N. Memorial Hospital

K.N. Memorial Hospital is located in Mohandi. It’s a quiet place, or at least as quiet as a hospital can be. Mohandi isn't a huge city, so everyone kind of knows where we are. The hospital was named as a memorial, and it has that feeling of being a community fixture. We have a few wards and a small emergency area. The walls are painted a light color that’s faded a bit over the years. We have a small garden area in the middle where people can sit and get some air. The staff is mostly local people from around Mohandi. We see a lot of agricultural injuries or the usual seasonal flu. It’s a simple setup. We don't have the high-tech gadgets you might find in a metro city, but we have the basics that people need. The waiting room has a TV that usually plays the news, though nobody really watches it. There’s a lot of waiting involved in hospital life, and we see people sitting patiently with their families all day. Sometimes the cows from the nearby fields wander near the gates. It’s a relaxed pace compared to the big hospitals, but we still have our busy moments when the doctors are running between rooms. We just keep the place running as best as we can with what we have. It’s an honest living and it keeps us busy from sunrise to sunset in Mohandi.
