K.G. Food Gramodyog Sansthan

K.G. Food Gramodyog Sansthan is located about 7 kilometers out on the Dehradun Road, right across from the Nau Gaza Peer shrine. Being out here means we have a bit more space than the shops in the city center. The building is simple and functional, and we use it mostly for preparing and storing our food items. Since we are right across from the shrine, things get very busy on certain days of the week when pilgrims come by. We often hear the sounds from the road and the bells from across the street while we work. Most of the work we do is based on older, traditional methods, so it takes a bit more time and effort. We do not have any big automated assembly lines. It is mostly people sitting together and working with their hands. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a few hours, and we just have to wait it out or work by the light from the windows. The staff here are all local people who live nearby. We share our stories and our tea throughout the day. It is a very grounded way of doing things. We do not have a website or a social media page. If people want to find us, they just look for the place opposite the peer. It is a straightforward life centered around the work and the community.
