Hameedia Health Clinic

Down in Khera Afgan in the Saharanpur area, you will find Hameedia Health Clinic. We are right there in the main part of the village. It is a small clinic that has been part of the community for a while. We don't have any big signs or flashing lights, just a simple board with the name on it. Inside, it is just a couple of rooms. We have a place for people to sit and wait their turn. Most of the time, the room is full of neighbors chatting with each other while they wait. The Saharanpur heat can be a bit much, so we have a ceiling fan that stays on all day long. It hums quite a bit but it keeps the air moving. We mostly see people for fevers or small aches. We know most of the families in Khera Afgan, so it feels more like visiting a neighbor than going to a sterile office. The desk is an old wooden one that has been here since we opened. We keep our records in paper files because that is what we are used to. Sometimes the rain leaks a little near the window if the wind is blowing the right way, but we just put a bucket there. It is just a normal, small-town clinic where we try to do what we can. We don't pretend to be anything more than that. It is just Hameedia Health Clinic at the end of the day.
