Goyal Garments

Goyal Garments is located right near JV Jain Degree College. Because we are so close to the college, we see a lot of students walking by every day. Some of them stop in to look at what we have, while others are just rushing to their classes. The shop is a basic rectangular room with shelves on three sides. I built most of the wooden racks myself when we first opened, so they are a bit uneven but they hold the weight. We don't have a fancy sign, just a hand-painted one that is getting a bit faded. The location is good because it’s a landmark everyone knows in the area. I usually bring my lunch from home and eat it at the small desk in the back. Sometimes the students come in just to ask for directions or to leave a bag for a few minutes while they run an errand, and we don't mind helping out. We keep a lot of shirts and jeans, the kind of things people wear to school or work. The fan in the middle of the room wobbles a bit when it's on high speed, but it moves the air around during the humid days. We don't do any big advertising; people just know we are here by word of mouth. It's a steady life, really. We open at ten and stay until the street lights come on and the college gates close. Dealing with the college crowd keeps things interesting.
