Shakti Feeds Corporation

Our place is out in Dayalpur, over in the Behat area. We also have an office at Gopal Nagar near the Nangli Temple. Most people around here just call us Shakti Feeds. We’re mostly dealing with animal feed and stuff for the local farms. It’s a bit of a drive to get out to the unit sometimes, but it’s where the real work happens. The bags are heavy and the air always smells like grain and earth and sometimes dust. We spend a lot of time on the phone with suppliers and farmers from the surrounding villages. It’s not a corporate office with people in suits; usually, we’re just in our regular work clothes because things get dirty pretty fast. We’ve got some old trucks that do the deliveries. Sometimes they break down or get stuck, which makes the work day a lot longer than we planned. We don’t have a big marketing department or anything like that. Word spreads by people talking at the market or at the temple. We just try to keep the quality of the feed consistent so the animals stay healthy. That's the main thing we care about. The office at Numaish Camp is usually where the paperwork and bills get sorted out. It’s a lot of counting bags and checking weights on the scales. We’ve been part of this community for a long time now. It’s just us doing the daily grind, making sure the orders go out to the right farms on time every week.
