Fogg Knitting & Dying Private Limited

Our place is right there on Court Road in Saharanpur, specifically in Parshvanath Plaza. If you know the J N K Bank, we are directly opposite to it. It’s a busy area and parking is usually a headache, but we’ve been here for a bit. The main thing we do is the knitting and the dying work. The machines stay running for most of the day and it gets pretty warm inside once the vats are heated up. You can usually tell what colors we are working on just by looking at the floors or the aprons. It’s hard work and your hands usually end up stained by the time you head home. We deal with all sorts of fabrics coming in and out. Saharanpur is known for a lot of things, but we just focus on our little corner of the plaza. The office part is where we keep the samples and talk to the guys who bring us the raw material. It’s not very quiet, but it’s a living. We try to keep the colors consistent, though dying is always a bit tricky depending on the water or the heat that day. We just take it one batch at a time. It’s a lot of lifting heavy rolls of cloth and making sure the machines don't jam up. We aren't trying to be anything fancy, just a regular dying and knitting unit doing its job every day. There is always someone coming in with a new batch of thread or picking up a finished roll.
