Our place is over in Wazir Vihar, right on Nawada Road. We are pretty close to the petrol pump, which is a good landmark because people always seem to get lost in Nehru Nagar. We have been at this spot for a few years now. It is basically a warehouse space with a small desk in the corner where we keep the ledgers and the phone. We sell various items to other shops and local people. Usually, the mornings are the busiest time because that is when the deliveries arrive and we have to unload everything from the trucks. It can get pretty crowded inside with all the boxes piled up. We do not have any fancy displays or a showroom. You just come in, ask for what you need, and we see if we have it in the back. Sometimes the stock takes a bit longer to arrive than we expect, but we try to keep the basics on hand for our regulars. My nephew helps me with the lifting and the paperwork most days. We drink a lot of tea while we wait for customers to stop by. It is a simple business. We are not trying to do anything huge, just keeping the shop going and making sure we have what the local folks are looking for. The noise from the road is constant, but you get used to it. It is just part of being in this part of the town.
