If you head down Haider Nagar Road toward Ward No -7, you will find Chand Soap Industries in Abbaspura. The smell is usually the first thing people notice before they even see the sign. It is a mix of different oils and the lye we use for the soaps. It isn't a factory with giant conveyor belts or robots. It is mostly manual work here. We have a few rooms where the mixing and setting happen. The building is old, and the floors are stained from years of production, but that is just part of the job. Abbaspura is a busy area, so there is always someone passing by on a cycle or a scooter. We keep the doors open mostly for ventilation. It gets pretty hot near the vats. The people working here have been with us for a long time, so they know the routine by heart. We don't have a fancy marketing team or a website that looks like a magazine. We just make the soap, wrap it up, and get it ready for whoever needs it. Sometimes the Haider Nagar Road gets muddy during the rains, which makes deliveries a bit of a headache, but we manage to get through it. It is a simple life, making something useful that people use every day in their own homes. We are just glad to be part of the local landscape here. We aren't doing anything groundbreaking, just keeping the production going.
