B. R. Overseas

You can find B. R. Overseas on the first floor of the District Cooperative Bank Building on Chakrota Road. Being in the bank building means it’s always busy downstairs, but it’s a bit quieter once you get up to our floor. The office has been here for a long time, and you can tell by the wooden floors and the old-fashioned cabinets. We do a lot of overseas trade work, which involves a lot of documents and bank visits, luckily for us the bank is just downstairs. The commute here can be a bit of a struggle because Chakrota Road is one of the main veins of the city. We spend our days tracking shipments and talking to suppliers. Sometimes the power goes out, and we all just sit around talking until it comes back on. It’s a very laid-back environment in some ways, but we still get the work done. We don't have any fancy mission statements or anything like that. We just help people get their products from point A to point B. The staff is mostly older guys who have been in the trade for decades. We know the ropes and we don't try to overcomplicate things. It’s just a steady business in an old building, doing the same work we’ve been doing for years without much fuss. We usually close up around six, provided there aren't any urgent emails left in the inbox.
