Arun Traders

Arun Traders is located at 2/647/11 on Ambala Road. It’s a long stretch of road with a lot of different businesses, but we have been in this specific spot for a good while. The shop is a simple one-room setup with a loft for extra storage. We don't have a lot of bells and whistles. The floors are concrete and the shelves are made of heavy wood that has seen better days. It gets pretty hot in the summer because the sun hits the front of the shop directly. We usually have a big pedestal fan going to keep the air moving. Traffic on Ambala Road can be quite heavy, so there is always a bit of dust settling on the counters. We don't have a professional cleaning crew; we just sweep up ourselves at the end of the day. Our team is small, mostly just family members and one or two helpers. We don't use fancy computers for everything; a lot of our notes are still written down in paper ledgers. It is an old-fashioned way of doing things, but it works for us. We don't have a mission statement or a slogan. We just open the doors and see who needs help. Most of our customers are people who live nearby or work in the other shops on the road. We know their names and what they usually look for. It’s a straightforward, local operation.
