About Amar Handicrafts Emporium – Gifts in Saharanpur
Our shop is right by the Bijlighar, not too far from Darpan Cinema on Ambala Road. It’s a busy spot, so there’s always people walking by and cars honking. We have a lot of different wooden handicrafts stacked up inside. It’s not the most organized place, to be honest. We have shelves full of things and sometimes boxes are just sitting on the floor because we ran out of space. We’ve been at this location for a long time now. People usually use the cinema as a landmark to find us because the road can get confusing. We don't really do big sales pitches or anything. If someone comes in, we just show them what we have and let them look around. My uncle started this place, and now I spend most of my time here. We get our stuff from the local carvers around town. Saharanpur is known for its wood, so we just stick to that. The shop gets a bit hot in the afternoon because the sun hits the front windows, but we have a couple of fans going. It’s a regular shop, nothing too fancy about it. We just try to keep a good variety of items so there’s something for everyone who stops by. Sometimes we are busy with a big order, and other times we just sit and talk with the neighbors while waiting for customers.
