This is Adhiraaj Cold Storage Private Limited. We are actually located in the same general spot as the agro business, over on Janta Road in Saharanpur, near Ekta Textiles. The address is basically the same, with the 247001 pincode. Running a cold storage is a different kind of job though. You’re always worrying about the temperature and the electricity. In Saharanpur, the power can be a bit tricky, so we have to stay on top of the generators all the time. It’s a big facility because you need the space to keep everything chilled. It’s cold inside, obviously, which is a nice break when it’s forty degrees outside in the Uttar Pradesh summer. We have a lot of local produce coming in, mostly stuff that needs to stay fresh before it goes to market. The area around Janta Road is always busy with tractors and carts. We spend a lot of time talking to the drivers and checking the logs. It's a lot of noise and movement. People know us as the place near Ekta Textiles where the trucks queue up. We don't have a flashy office or anything. It’s just a functional building designed to keep things from spoiling. It’s honest work and it keeps the local food supply moving, which feels like a good enough reason to keep doing it every day.
