Indian Steel Handicrafts

We have been operating Indian Steel Handicrafts from this small spot in Gali No. 1 for quite some years now. Sabri Ka Bagh is a busy place, and our shop in Gotey Shah stays right in the middle of all the noise and activity. It isn't a fancy setup with bright lights or a big glass front. We just have our tools and the steel we work with every day. Most mornings start with the sound of metal hitting metal. It gets hot in here, especially during the summer months, but we are used to it by now. My cousins and I handle most of the work ourselves. We don't have a big office or anything like that. If you come by, you'll probably see us with grease on our hands or dust on our shirts. People around here know where we are because of the banging sounds coming from the workshop. We make various items out of steel, mostly things people need for their homes or small businesses. It is honest work and it keeps us busy from dawn until the sun goes down. We don't spend much time on the computer or doing paperwork. Most of our time goes into the actual making of the goods. Sometimes the delivery trucks have a hard time getting into the narrow lane, but we always figure it out somehow. It is just a regular life here, making things that last.
