We share a space with Mr. Sagar Mahadeo Kate over in the Common Meterkasba area of Morgaon. It is a bit of a traditional setup, nothing like those modern offices you see in the city center. Being contractors means we are rarely sitting down for long. There is always a pipe leaking somewhere or a wall that needs finishing at one of our project sites. Our main desk is mostly for keeping the bill books and the labor registers organized. We have a few plastic chairs for when the workers come in to get their weekly pay or discuss the next job. The atmosphere is pretty relaxed, though it gets a bit loud when the heavy trucks go past on the Morgaon road. We have a small cabinet for our tools and a corner where we keep the cement samples and tile pieces. It is a messy business, but we enjoy the process of seeing something being built from nothing. My nephew helps out with the typing and the digital stuff because my hands are more suited for the physical work. We don't have a marketing team or anyone to answer the phones with a polite script. If the phone rings, one of us just picks it up and starts talking. Most of our clients are people from around here who know us by face. We just focus on getting the job done without making a big show.
