Our shop is located in Ali Pura Village, right on Hanumangarh Road. If you are coming by the bus stand, you will see us pretty easily. It is a busy spot with people always moving around and buses stopping every few minutes. We have been here in Ganganagar District for years, dealing with all sorts of things that people in the village need for their daily work. It is mostly a one-room setup with shelves full of different items. Sometimes it gets a bit messy because we have so much stuff crammed into a small space. We do not really bother with fancy displays or anything like that. We just try to have what people ask for when they come in from the fields or the nearby houses. The dust from the road blows in a lot, so we are always cleaning off the counters. My brother helps me out most days, and we just take turns watching the shop. We know most of the people who walk through the door by their first names. It is not the kind of place where you get a receipt from a computer, we still do everything by hand in our little ledger. Life moves at its own pace here in Ali Pura. We just try to keep the doors open and the stock ready. It is a humble way to earn a living, but it keeps us busy and connected to the folks around here.
