Our factory is located in Harnav Colony, Vijaynagar, which is in the Sabarkantha district of Gujarat. The address is C/2, and it is a bit of a journey to get here if you are coming from the bigger cities. Vijaynagar is a much quieter place, which is actually quite nice for manufacturing. We make suspension parts here, so the building is full of heavy machinery and the sound of metal being shaped. It gets pretty hot in the afternoons, especially near the machines, but that is just part of the job. The colony is quite peaceful, and we have a good relationship with the people living around us. We don't have a big corporate office; it is mostly just the factory floor and a small room for the accounts. The guys working here are from the nearby villages and they know their way around the equipment. We focus on making parts that last, and we don't spend much time on anything else. The commute involves some nice scenery, which is a bonus. We keep our records in simple registers and stay on top of the production schedule. Sabarkantha is a good place for this kind of work because there is plenty of space. It’s a very practical, no-nonsense setup where we just focus on the manufacturing tasks at hand every single day.
