Krishna Hospital

Being in Idar is a bit different than the big cities. Krishna Hospital is just a local spot where people come when they aren't feeling well. The town isn't that large, so news travels fast and everyone knows where we are. We have a simple building with a front porch area where people often stand and talk while they wait. Inside, it’s pretty basic. We have a few consulting rooms and a place for people to rest if they need an injection or some fluids. The floors are tiled and we try to keep them shining, though the red Idar dust always finds a way in. Our staff knows most of the patients by name, or at least they know their families. We don’t have a lot of high-tech gadgets, just the stuff that’s necessary for daily care. In the afternoons, it gets quite hot, so the ceiling fans are always humming at full speed. It’s a familiar sound that we all just get used to. Sometimes a dog wanders into the yard and someone has to shoo it away. It’s a very grounded, everyday kind of place. We aren't trying to impress anyone with fancy lobby furniture. We just have the usual chairs and a desk where we do the billing. It’s a quiet life for the most part, except when a lot of people show up on market days. That is when it gets really loud.
