Our place is located in Hajipur, which is part of the Himatnagar taluka in the Sabarkantha district. Specifically, we are over at Purshotamnagar. This is a much quieter setting than what you would find in a big city. The office is simple and reflects the local town vibe. We do not have many staff members here, just a few of us who handle the banking needs of the village and the nearby areas. It is a practical space with the basic necessities like desks and a computer system. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, and the furniture has seen better days, but it serves its purpose just fine. We know most of the people who walk through the door by name because it is such a tight-knit community. The pace of work is steady but rarely feels rushed. We spend a lot of time talking to the locals and helping them with their accounts. The road outside can get a bit muddy during the monsoon season, so we spend a lot of time sweeping the floor. There is a post office nearby which is a good landmark for people trying to find us. We open up early in the morning and close once the sun starts to go down. It is a very normal, everyday kind of life here in Sabarkantha. We just do our work and try to be helpful to the neighbors who come in.
