Kiwi Cotton Crafts

We are up on the second floor of the building right across from Tata Motors on Idar Road. You can’t miss the BJP Karyalay nearby either, it’s a big landmark for people trying to find Kiwi Cotton Crafts. The stairs are a bit steep but we get used to them after a few trips every morning. Most of our time is spent handling the cotton and the crafts that come through here. It’s a bit of a messy job sometimes with bits of thread and fabric ending up on the floor, but that is just how it goes when you are actually working. The light comes in through the windows in the afternoon and makes the room quite warm, so we keep the fans running all the time. We aren’t doing anything fancy or high-tech, just the usual daily work with our hands and the materials we have. It’s a local spot and we know the other people in the building pretty well by now. Sometimes the traffic on Idar Road gets loud, especially when the big trucks go by, but you stop noticing it after a while. We just keep our heads down and get the orders ready. There’s no big reception area or anything like that. You just walk in and see us working. It’s a practical space for what we do, and being near the main road makes it easier for the deliveries to get in and out without too much trouble.
