About Shri Jay Ganesh Photoframe And Glass Workers – Architect, Interior & Structural Design in Sabarkantha
We’ve been here at the GIDC in Ider for quite some time now. Our shop is right near the railway street in the Lethwala Complex, just across from the Balaji complex. Most people around here know us for the glass work and framing we do. It’s just a small place, really. We spend most of our days cutting glass to size or putting together frames for people’s photos and mirrors. Sometimes it gets a bit dusty with all the wood and glass scraps around, but that’s just how the job is. It’s not anything fancy. We have different types of moldings for the frames and various thicknesses of glass depending on what someone needs for their home or shop. When a customer walks in, they usually have a specific picture or a broken window piece that needs fixing. We just take the measurements and get to work on it. It’s a lot of manual labor, using the cutters and the joining machines. We try to keep things organized but when you’re busy with three or four frames at once, the workbench gets pretty crowded. Being near the railway makes it easy for people to find us when they’re passing through. We’ve seen the area change a bit over the years, but we’re still here doing the same glass and frame stuff every day. It’s a steady kind of life. Nothing too complicated about it. We just open up in the morning and see who comes by with a project for us to handle.
