Shanti Electronics

Shanti Electronics is located at Plot No. 24, and it is a pretty straightforward setup. We don't have a long address with a lot of sectors or compounds, just this one plot. It makes it easier for people to find us, I suppose. The space is filled with a lot of small electronic components, so it can feel a bit crowded if more than two or three people are inside at the same time. We have shelves that go all the way to the ceiling, mostly packed with boxes that we’ve labeled by hand. Sometimes it takes a minute to find exactly what we are looking for, but we usually get there. It is a quiet kind of work compared to the big factories. We spend a lot of time looking at small parts and making sure everything is connected right. There isn't much noise here, just the sound of a soldering iron or the radio playing softly in the corner. We’ve been at Plot 24 for several years now. We know the mailman and the guy who brings the water. It’s a small operation, and we like it that way. No one is wearing a tie here, and we don't have any big meetings to talk about goals. We just open up in the morning, see what needs to be fixed or put together, and we stay until it’s done. It is just a regular local shop where we do our best with what we have.
