Colin Soft Drink

Colin Soft Drink has been operating out of unit 13 in the GIDC area near the railway crossing in Idar for quite some time now. It’s an industrial spot, so it’s not exactly quiet with the trains going by and the sound of the bottling machinery running all day. We spend most of our time making sure the glass bottles are clean and the crates are stacked properly for the delivery trucks. The smell of sugar and flavorings is always in the air, which is something you stop noticing after the first hour of work. We supply a lot of the small shops in the villages around Idar, so we know the local geography pretty well. The office is just a tiny corner partitioned off from the main floor with a wooden desk and a few old stools. We don't have a big corporate structure; it’s just us and a handful of workers who have been with us since the start. In the summer, the demand goes through the roof and we are usually working double shifts just to keep up with the orders. Sometimes a machine breaks down and we have to spend half the night fixing it ourselves with a wrench and some grease. We don't bother with fancy labels or big TV ads because people around here already know what we make and they seem to like it just fine.
