City Tiles Ltd.

We spend most of our days out here in Dalpur. It’s a busy spot right on the Katwad Road. Being part of Ceramic City means there’s always trucks coming and going. The dust is just part of the job when you deal with tiles all day. Most of us here at City Tiles Ltd. have been working together for a long time. We start early, usually before the sun gets too hot. It’s a bit out from Ahmedabad, so it’s quieter than the city but still hectic in its own way. We handle a lot of boxes and check a lot of inventory every single afternoon. Sometimes the paperwork gets backed up, but we get through it. People come by asking for different patterns or sizes, and we just show them what’s in the warehouse. It’s not fancy work, but it keeps us busy. The area around Prantij is mostly industrial now. You can hear the machines from the other shops nearby while we drink our tea. We just focus on getting the orders right and making sure the stacks don’t fall over. If someone needs tiles for a kitchen or a bathroom, they usually find their way to us on this road. It’s a straightforward life here. We just show up, move the stock, and head home when the gate closes. Nothing too complicated about it. We’ve seen the road change over the years, more traffic now for sure. We keep it simple.
