About Vijay Pal Guleria Architect – Architect, Interior & Structural Design in Rupnagar
You’ll find me on the first floor of the T.E. Building, which is the BSNL building in Phase-XI. It’s a bit of an institutional setting, so it feels very grounded and stable. The corridors are long and have that specific smell of an older office building. My space is filled with the usual tools of the trade—thick rolls of tracing paper, different grades of pencils, and a computer that’s seen a lot of projects. It’s a no-nonsense environment. I don't have a lot of decorative items or fancy art on the walls. Mostly, it’s just calendars and maybe a few photos of finished sites. Being in the BSNL building means it’s easy to explain to people where I am, even if they have to navigate the stairs to find the right door. The windows look out over the parking area and some trees. It’s usually quiet enough to get some real work done without too many interruptions. I spend my mornings going through emails and my afternoons working on structural details. There isn't a team of receptionists or a lobby area with magazines. If someone comes by, they just knock and come in. It’s a very direct way of working. Phase-XI is a good location, and being in a building like this keeps things feeling professional but simple. I’ve grown used to the hum of the air conditioner and the steady rhythm of the workday here.
