Singh Manmeet Kaur Architect

My practice is based out of 1061, Sector 71. I’ve been working as an architect in this area for several years. It’s a quiet residential part of town, which helps when I need to concentrate on detailed drawings. My office is filled with stacks of blueprints, reference books, and my computer setup. As Manmeet Kaur Singh, I handle all the design work myself. I don't have a team of junior designers doing the sketches. When a client comes to see me at Sector 71, we sit down and look at the site plans together. I spend a lot of time thinking about how to make a space functional. It’s not just about how it looks on paper; it has to work for the people living there. I deal with the structural stuff and the local building codes, which can be a bit of a headache sometimes. I’m usually busy with a few projects at once, ranging from small renovations to new house builds. I don't really do much advertising. Most people find me through word of mouth or by seeing a house I worked on nearby. I like to keep things simple and honest. If a plan won't work, I’ll say so. Architecture is a slow process, and I take the time needed to get the measurements right. It’s my daily routine, and I’ve grown to know this neighborhood and its buildings very well.
