We’re over at 584 in Phase 11, Mohali. If you’re familiar with the area, you know it’s a good spot to be in. We spend our days helping people with their education and immigration papers. It’s a lot of forms and a lot of waiting for government offices to get back to us. People come in with big dreams of moving abroad or studying in a different country, like Canada or Australia. We just try to help them navigate the rules which seem to change every other week. Mohali has become a big center for this kind of work, so we have neighbors doing similar things. Our office is usually full of people bringing in their certificates and passports for us to check. It can get a bit chaotic when there’s a big deadline for a visa intake, but we manage to stay organized. We aren't some polished agency with a fancy lobby and a guy in a suit. We have some plastic chairs for people to wait in and a lot of desks covered in folders. We’ve been at this for a while now, so we know the process pretty well. It’s rewarding when someone calls to say their visa got approved. It’s not always easy, though. There’s a lot of back and forth with the authorities and missing documents. We just keep at it, one file at a time, until the job is done.
