I’ve been working out of Kothi No. 77 in Phase 1st for several years now. Mohali has changed a lot since I started, but the way we handle projects is still pretty much the same. We focus on being practical. When someone comes in with a plot of land, we look at the sun, the wind, and how they actually live their life. It’s not about making something look like a magazine cover. It’s about making sure the rooms feel right and the plumbing makes sense. My office is a bit crowded with samples of tiles and wood, but it helps to show people what they're actually buying. Distt-Rupnagar is a big area and we end up traveling a lot to see sites. I spend a lot of my time talking to masons and carpenters. They're the ones who really know how the materials behave. It’s a small team here, just me and a few assistants who help with the drafting. We aren't trying to be the biggest firm in the area. We just want to do a few jobs at a time so we can actually pay attention to the details. Phase 1st is a good neighborhood, and we’ve been lucky to have good clients here who keep recommending us to their families and friends.
