Ramanjit Kaur Architect

I work out of House Number 1432 B in Sector 61, which serves as my main office space. It’s a modest setup where I spend most of my day at a large corner desk surrounded by books on building codes and piles of sketches. Being in Sector 61 is convenient because it’s a central enough spot for people to drop by. The room is usually filled with the sound of my computer fan and the occasional scratching of a pen on paper. I don’t have a big team of assistants, so when someone calls or visits, they deal directly with me. My workspace is a bit cluttered, I’ll admit. There are rolls of blueprints standing in the corners and stacks of old magazines that I keep for inspiration. Sometimes the neighbor’s kids are playing outside and I can hear them through the window, but it’s a nice background noise for working. I spend a lot of time measuring things and re-drawing lines until they feel right. It’s not a fancy corporate studio with glass partitions and sleek furniture. It’s just a practical room where the work happens. I’ve lived in this area for a long time, so I know the local buildings and how things are constructed around here. It’s a slow and steady process, focusing on one plan at a time to make sure nothing gets missed or overlooked. I just keep at it until the job is done.
