O2Shoes

O2Shoes is based out of D 179 in Phase 8B of the Industrial Area. This part of Sector 74 is always buzzing with some kind of activity. Our space is full of the smell of materials and rubber. There are racks and racks of shoes in different stages of being finished. Sometimes the floor is so crowded with boxes that you have to walk in a straight line just to get to the back. We have a few machines that make quite a bit of noise, but we only run them when we have a big batch to finish. The workers here have been at it for years. They know exactly how a sole should fit. It’s not a clean office job. Your hands usually end up with some marks or glue by the end of the day. Forget about a showroom with fancy lighting and carpets. It’s just a workshop where things get made. Sometimes people from the other units in Phase 8B come by just to chat or ask for a favor. We try to keep things moving so we don't fall behind on the schedule. The lighting inside could be better, but we have big windows that let in some sun. It’s a practical place for practical work. We aren't trying to be a high-end fashion house. We just make shoes that people can actually use for a long time.
