Gopal Hospital

Our hospital, Gopal Hospital, is situated at Scf-16 in Phase 7 of Mohali. This part of SAS Nagar is always moving, and we are right in the thick of it. The building is one of those standard commercial blocks. We have the main entrance on the ground floor, and the pharmacy is tucked right in there so people don’t have to go far for their medicine. The stairs lead up to the different sections. We have a small lift, but it’s a bit slow, so most people just walk up. The walls are a simple cream color, though they have some scuffs from all the years of use. We have several consulting rooms where the doctors see people for their various aches and pains. The waiting area has some old magazines on a small table, mostly about health or local news. You can hear the sounds of the market outside—vendors calling out and cars honking. It’s a very urban feeling. Our staff speaks Punjabi and Hindi, which helps everyone feel more comfortable when they are worried about their health. We don’t have any fancy art or expensive carpets. Everything here is practical. We’ve been serving the Phase 7 neighborhood for a long time, and many of our patients are like old friends now. It’s just a regular part of life for us, keeping the clinic running and seeing to whoever needs help that day.
