G. G. S. Marbles & Hardware

G. G. S. Marbles & Hardware is located in Dher village, near Anandpur Sahib. We are right by Jhajj Chowk, so we get a lot of local folks stopping in. Since we do both marbles and hardware, the shop is a bit of a mix. You might see a beautiful piece of stone leaning against a shelf full of hammers and boxes of nails. It’s a bit cluttered, but we know where everything is. The village life is quiet compared to the big cities, but Jhajj Chowk stays busy enough. We spend the morning sweeping the front and organizing the smaller hardware items that people always need. Most of our customers are neighbors or people from the nearby villages who are fixing up their homes. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who do everything from unloading the heavy stuff to counting out screws. It’s practical work. We don't spend money on fancy displays. We just put the stuff where it fits and show it to anyone who asks. Sometimes we sit outside on a bench when it's slow and watch the tractors go by. It’s an honest way to spend the day. If someone needs a specific tool or a slab for a kitchen, they know we are right here by the chowk. We just try to be helpful and keep the shelves stocked up with the basics.
