I’ve been working out of my house at number 1656 in Sector-70 for quite some time now. Being an architect in Sas Nagar Mohali keeps me busy enough most weeks. It’s just me and a couple of helpers working here. We don't have a big glass office in a shopping center or anything like that. Instead, we use the space here to draw up plans and meet with clients who need things done. Most of the people who come to see me are just looking to build a house or maybe add a floor to their existing place. I spend a lot of time at the drawing board or out at construction sites checking on things. Mohali has changed a lot since I started, and there is always something being built these days. I try to keep my designs straightforward. There is no point in making something that is too hard for the builders to actually build. Sometimes I'm stuck behind the computer all day doing technical drawings, which isn't the most fun part of the job, but it has to be done. It’s a quiet street here in Sector-70, which helps me focus on the details. My neighbors know what I do, and sometimes they stop by just to ask a quick question about a permit or a wall. I don't mind it. It's just part of being a local business. I keep regular hours, but if a job needs finishing, I’ll stay up late working.
