Aastha Hospital

Aastha Hospital is out here in Nurpur Bedi, which is a part of the Chandigarh area most of us know pretty well. It's a quiet enough spot compared to the main city center, but we stay busy. People come from all over this side of Chandigarh to see us. The building itself is simple. We don't spend a lot of time worrying about how the paint looks on the outside as long as the rooms inside are ready for work. There is usually a bit of a breeze coming through the hallway if the doors are open. We’ve been operating in Nurpur Bedi for a good stretch of time now. You learn the names of the families after a while. Most of the staff here takes the bus or rides a scooter to get to work. It’s just a normal daily routine for everyone. We see a lot of the same faces in the neighborhood. If you are driving through this part of Chandigarh, you will eventually hit our street. It’s not a complicated place to find. We have some trees nearby that drop leaves all over the entrance in the fall, so someone is always out there with a broom. It’s just how it is. We keep the place running and try to make sure everyone gets seen. It’s a local hospital for local people, nothing more than that. We just do the job and get through the day.
