Microcom is situated on the Haldwani Bypass Road. We are in the Kishanpur - Kichha area, specifically right opposite the Shani Mandir. Being near the temple means it’s easy to give directions to anyone looking for us. The bypass road is usually quite loud with trucks and buses zooming past. We have a front door that we keep closed to keep the noise down a bit. Inside Microcom, it is mostly quiet. We have our equipment set up along the walls. The space is fairly long and narrow. We’ve lived with the dust from the road for years now, so we just clean it up every morning. Across the street, the Shani Mandir brings in a lot of people on certain days. We watch the crowds from our doorstep. It’s an interesting place to be located. The building itself is plain. We haven't done much to the outside besides putting up the name. It’s more about what happens inside the walls. We have a few desks and some shelving for our stuff. It gets hot in the afternoons when the sun hits the front of the building. We just use a fan and keep going. It’s a very straightforward spot in Kishanpur. We know most of the people who work in the shops nearby. The concrete floor stays cool in the winter, which is nice. We just get on with things here without much fuss.
