Khuaja Brick Industries

We’ve been here in Jafarpur for a while now. Most days are just about managing the kiln and making sure the bricks come out right. It’s hard work, especially when the weather turns, but that is part of the job here in Gadarpur. We have a small crew and we just focus on getting the orders ready for people around Udham Singh Nagar. It isn’t a fancy operation, just lots of red clay and fire. Sometimes the trucks are late or the wood isn't dry enough, and we just deal with it. People come by the yard to check the stacks. We show them what’s ready and what needs more time. There’s always dust everywhere, but that’s how a brickyard is. My family has been around this area for a long time, and we know most of the people who come to buy. We don't spend much time in an office because the real work happens outside near the chimneys. If you walk down the road in Jafarpur, you’ll see our stacks. It’s basic stuff, really. We just make bricks that stay solid. We don't have a big website or anything, just the yard and the workers. Every batch is a bit different depending on the soil we get that week. We just keep the fires going and hope for clear skies so the bricks dry fast enough. It's a simple life out here in Udham Singh Nagar.
