Green Petals Orchids (Opc) Private Limited

We are located up in Naigwar, which is part of Gopeshwar. It’s a bit of a steep climb to get up here, but the view of the valley is worth the trouble. We work out of Tika Ram Pant’s place. Mostly our days are focused on orchids and other flowers that seem to grow well in this mountain climate. Gopeshwar has the right kind of cool air for these plants. It’s a small operation, just an individual really running the whole show. We spend most of the daylight hours in the garden or the small greenhouse we built. Orchids are very finicky things, so they take a lot of patience and daily attention. It’s certainly not a job for someone who wants to sit in an office all day. We get our hands dirty every single day of the week. The weather up here in the hills can be very unpredictable, so we’re always keeping one eye on the sky for rain or frost. We sell mostly to people in the local area or send small batches down to the bigger towns in the valley when we can find a ride for them. It’s a quiet life up here. There aren't many people around Naigwar doing this kind of specific work. We don't have a big staff or a fleet of delivery trucks. It’s just about growing things and seeing them bloom eventually. We don't have any big corporate plans or goals for expansion. It's just honest work that keeps us busy.
