Our place, Fortune Mohaan Resorts Private Limited, is right in Village Mohaan. If you know the area, you know it is mostly trees and quiet roads. We are not in a big city. It is just the village life here. Working in a resort means there is always something to fix or a garden to tend to. Mohaan is a small spot, so everyone knows each other. We spend most of our time getting things ready for whoever stops by. It is a lot of physical work, honestly. Cleaning, checking the rooms, making sure the kitchen has what it needs. We are tucked away from the main noise. Sometimes the monkeys cause a bit of trouble, but that is part of living in the hills. We don't have a glossy brochure. It is just us and the land. Most of the staff comes from nearby villages. We wake up early when the air is still cold. The resort business is tough but we like being out here in the fresh air. You won't find any high-rise buildings in Mohaan. Just mountains and the river nearby. We just keep our heads down and do the work. It is a simple life. We don't try to be anything we aren't. We are just a local resort business trying to make a go of it in Uttarakhand. It gets lonely sometimes when it's quiet, but the stars are bright at night.
