Our office is tucked away in the Bb 5 Choudhury Complex on Panrosh Road here in Rourkela. If you know the area, it is right where all the trucks pass through. It’s a dusty place because of the nature of the work, but we are used to it by now. There is always a layer of grit on the windows no matter how much we clean them. Most of our day is spent talking to drivers and making sure the loads are going to the right spots. We have a few desks and a computer that sometimes acts up when it gets too hot. People come in and out all day long, mostly just to drop off papers or have a quick chat about a delivery. We don’t really bother with fancy decorations or corporate talk. It is a practical office for a practical job. Rourkela is a tough town for this kind of work, but we’ve been at it for a long time. Sometimes the phone doesn't stop ringing and other times it is quiet enough to hear the traffic outside. We keep a pot of water in the corner for anyone who stops by. There isn't any big secret to how we operate. We just show up every morning and deal with the piles of work on the desk. It’s not always easy, especially when the machinery has issues, but we manage. The complex is always full of people moving around, which makes the days go by faster.
