Sanjay Hardware Store

Our shop is right near the Town High School in the Daily Market on the Main Road. Because we are so close to the school and the market, there is a lot of foot traffic all day long. Sanjay Hardware Store has been a part of this street for a long time. We sell things like pipes, hammers, and bags of cement. The front of the shop is usually crowded with rolls of wire or plastic tubing that we couldn't fit inside. It is a bit chaotic during the morning rush when the contractors are picking up supplies for their jobs. We don't have a computer to ring things up; we mostly use a notebook and a pen. It's faster that way when you have a line of people waiting. The rain sometimes gets inside a bit if the wind is blowing the wrong way, but we just move the stuff back and keep going. We know most of the teachers from the school and the other shopkeepers in the market. We spend a lot of our time just moving heavy boxes around and making sure we haven't run out of the basics. It’s not a fancy place, and the paint on the sign is peeling a bit, but people know they can find us here from morning until the market closes at night. We just keep it simple and try to make sure we have what the local builders are looking for.
