We set up our little office on the first floor here in Civil Township at N-4/11. It isn't a huge place, but it fits the desks and the few of us who work here every day. Most of the time, the rooms are full of solar panel samples and different types of wiring. It’s a bit of a climb up the stairs, especially when we’re carrying equipment, but we’ve gotten used to it. We mostly spend our mornings going over customer charts and checking the weather to see if we can get any installation work done. My cousin handles the technical side of things, and I usually talk to the folks who come in with questions. People around the township just drop by when they see our sign. We don't do any big commercials or anything like that. It’s mostly just chatting over tea about how much sun a roof gets. Sometimes the office gets a bit messy with paperwork and empty boxes, but we try to keep it organized enough to find what we need. It’s a local operation, and we’ve lived in this area for years. We know which houses have the best angles for the sun. We aren't trying to be a giant firm. We just like working with solar stuff and helping people figure out their power. If the door is locked, we’re probably out at a site nearby, but we usually leave a note on the door saying when we’ll be back.
