We run the stone crushing business out of the Bhakra Service Station on Railway Road. It’s a bit dusty and loud most days, but that is just the nature of working with rock. Bhakra Stone Crushets Constractors isn't a fancy name, it's just what we do. We have the machinery set up and we spend our time breaking down stones for various building projects around town. Being on Railway Road means there is always traffic and noise from the trains, so we fit right in. We don't have a secretary answering the phones with a script. Usually, it's one of us wiping the grit off our hands to take a call. We do a lot of contracting work for local builders who need materials delivered. The trucks come and go all day long. Sometimes the machines break down and we spend the afternoon covered in grease fixing them. It isn't a clean job, but somebody has to do it. We’ve lived in this area forever, so we know everyone on this stretch of road. We aren't looking to expand into some giant empire.
