Om Play School

Om Play School is situated in Shivalik Nagar, which is a decent part of Haridwar. We have been operating here for some time. It is a small building with a bit of space for the kids to run around. We have some basic play equipment like a slide and some blocks. It’s not a high-end facility, just a place where parents can leave their young kids for a few hours. We spend our mornings doing simple activities with them, like drawing or singing songs. There are only a few of us working here, so we all end up doing everything from teaching to cleaning up the snacks. Shivalik Nagar is a quiet area, which is good for the school. We don't have any big corporate goals or anything, we just want to provide a place that works for the local families. Most of the kids live within walking distance. We have to keep an eye on them all the time, obviously, which can be tiring. The rooms are plain but we put up some of the kids' drawings on the walls to make it look a bit more cheerful. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic when they all start talking at once, but we manage. We aren't trying to be the most famous school in Haridwar, just a reliable one for the people living nearby. It’s a simple, honest setup and we just keep it going one day at a time without any fuss.
