Expressions 54

Our place, Expressions 54, is at No. 19 Satti Street in Haridwar. We are very close to the Modi Mosque, so that’s the best way to find us if you are wandering around. Satti Street is one of those old-fashioned roads where everything is close together. We do a bit of everything here, mostly things related to printing or small items people need. It’s a small shop, and sometimes it feels even smaller when we have a lot of boxes delivered. The air in Haridwar has that specific feel to it, especially being so close to the water and the temples, but our street is more about the daily local life. We have a small counter where we sit, and most of the time we are just chatting with the neighbors or drinking chai while we work. It’s not a fancy business with a lobby or anything like that. Just a room with some shelves and a desk that has seen better days. We’ve been here for a while and the mosque nearby is a good reference point for everyone. Some days are slow and we just watch the people go by on Satti Street. Other days are a bit of a rush and we are scrambling to finish things. We don’t really have a big plan, we just open up every morning and see what the day brings.
