About British Brass Enterprises – Gifts in Roorkee
We are over at Plot No. 246, right near Nehru Stadium. If you know the Oil Railway Road area, you’ve probably passed us. The shop stays busy most days with the sound of the trains going by nearby. We handle a lot of brass work here. It gets quite hot in the summers with the furnaces going, but we just get on with it. Purvi Amber Talab is a crowded spot, so finding parking is always a bit of a headache for folks coming by. We started small and stayed that way, mostly because we like knowing everyone who walks through the door. The floor is usually covered in metal shavings and dust, which is just how it is when you’re working with these materials all day. We don’t have fancy offices or anything like that. Just some benches, our tools, and the stuff we make. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to sit outside for a bit until it comes back. It's not a glamorous life, but it's what we know. My brother usually handles the heavy lifting while I deal with the orders. We’ve been at this location for a good while now, seeing the neighborhood change around us. The stadium brings in some crowds during games, but mostly it’s just us and the other local shops doing our thing. It's a bit noisy and messy, but it's home to us and we have no plans to move.
