Sri Gurudatta Rice Industries

Plot number 58 in the KIADB area is where you’ll find us. This part of the Mundargi industrial area is mostly just factories and big warehouses. Sri Gurudatta Rice Industries is tucked in among the other units on the Bangalore road. It’s a lot of gray concrete and steel pipes around here. We spend our days dealing with the milling process. The sound of the machinery is something you just get used to after a while. We have a small crew of guys who have been with us since we moved in. It’s not a glamorous job. We get covered in dust and the heat under the tin roof can be something else in the summer. We drink a lot of tea to keep going. Most of our visitors are truck drivers or people from the other industrial plots. We keep a ledger for everything and try to stay organized, even if the office feels a bit cramped. The location is good because the highway is right there, making it easy to move the rice out. We don’t have fancy marketing materials. If you come by, you’ll likely find me in my old work shirt checking the sacks. It’s just how we run things every day. We don’t worry about much else besides getting the orders ready on time. We usually finish up late and lock the big gates before heading back into town for the night.
