Universal Refrigeration

Universal Refrigeration is located on Dharamshala Road in the Karimganj area of Sasaram. We are quite close to the railway station, so you can always hear the trains pulling in and the whistles blowing throughout the day. It’s a very busy part of town with people arriving and leaving at all hours. Our shop is a bit of a squeeze with all the cooling units and spare parts we keep around. It’s a practical space, not a fancy showroom. We spend a lot of our time out on calls or fixing things right here on the workbench. The floor is usually covered in tools and bits of copper pipe. We don't have a formal dress code; we just wear what works for crawling around behind fridges. It’s hot work, especially in the summer months, but that's when everyone needs us most. We’ve been at this location for a while and have seen the area around the station change quite a bit. Despite the noise and the crowds on Dharamshala Road, we like being here because it’s easy for people to find us. We don't do much advertising; our name is just painted on the front. We are just a group of people who know our way around a compressor. Sometimes the tea boy from the station brings us rounds while we work. It’s a busy, honest life and we just keep moving from one job to the next.
