SGK Kabir & Sons Infratech Private Limited is a family-run kind of business based in Dehri, Rohtas. We operate out of house number 950 in the Chuna Bhatta area. M.D Kamruddin’s house is where the main office is set up. It is a local neighborhood, and the atmosphere is very different from the big city offices you see in Patna. Here, things move at a slightly different pace, although the work itself is still very demanding. We handle infrastructure projects, which means a lot of our time is spent outdoors on various sites across Bihar. Back at the office in Chuna Bhatta, we deal with the administrative side of things, like paying the workers and ordering the raw materials. The name Kabir & Sons reflects how we view the business—as something grounded in the family and the local community. We do not have a lot of flashy advertising. Usually, our work comes from people who have known us for years or from word of mouth in the Rohtas district. The office is simple, with some old filing cabinets and a couple of desks. We often have people dropping by just to say hello or to discuss a potential project over some snacks. It is a very open and informal way of doing things, but it works for us. We stay focused on the task at hand and try to handle any difficulties with common sense and a lot of patience.
